Alumni Association
The Dayanand College of Law with a good standing of 50 years of yeoman service in imparting legal education, produced a galaxy of legal luminaries who are occupying positions of well repute at State and National Levels.
The informal Alumni Association of the College has been contributing for the advancement and growth of their Alma Mater at various levels. The enthusiastic wards who entered the portals of the College have forged an indelible factual connection with their Alma Mater and inextricable connections of the Alumni with the Alma Mater cannot be severed by time or distance.
The Institution cherishes the achievements of its Alumni and considers its Alumni an important stake holder and partner and the best supportive system in its journey towards the becoming a center of excellence. Institution is keen to maintain a very warm and cardinal relationship with the Alumni and constantly looks forward to their support in contributing to the shaping of the Institution and its ethos. In the light of the advancement and the changing patterns in legal education and academic programmes, the members of Alumni who are in the legal professional at Bar and Bench ought to play a vital role in guiding the students in their career and profession.
The College Alumni Association is a dynamic and a strong support system of the College which helps the College in arranging Internship, Placements, Workshops and Seminars. The Alumni members also give suggestions through feedback and periodic meetings regarding the developments. College has a vibrant Alumni Association, which consists of the practising advocates, judicial officers, judges, professionals, businessmen and so on. Some of the illustrious members of Alumni are also members of IQAC and contribute for the Institutional overall development.
College has a well-established and registered Alumni Association shall be called the Dayanand College of Law Alumni Association Latur and its office shall be located at the premises of Dayanand College of Law, Latur.
The Alumni Association is working for building strong bond between alumni and present students. The alumni give support to the students through interaction, arranging expert lectures, guidance, placement and internship. The Alumni Association of the Institute is called as Dayanand College of Law Alumni Association. This was registered under the Mumbai public Trust Act,1950. The office headquarter of DCL., is in the premises of Dayanand Education Society, Barshi Road Latur Maharashtra, India.
The mission of the Alumni Association is to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between the Institute and its alumni. Alumni meet is arranged on every four month of the year.
Chief Guest Hon’ble Shaikh, a former principal district judge, addressed the audience. He highlighted concerns about judges not functioning properly in accordance with the law and procedures. He emphasized the importance of judges’ knowledge of the law and advocated for lawyers to focus on the legal aspects of their cases, including reading reference books.
The college principal, Dr.PoonamNathani, delivered the welcome speech.
Dr.Jadhav N.D., the coordinator of the Alumni Association, presented a detailed overview of the alumni association’s journey from its establishment to its current progress. This presentation was accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation.
President of the Alumni Association Adv. TejasweeJadhav, Secretary, Adv. NileshMuchate, Vice President Naresh Kulkarni, expressed their views as to the progress of the Alumni Association from the establishment to till date. Anchoring was made by the Adv. RajendraLaturkar, Joint-Secretary of Alumni Association.

Objectives of the Alumni association
- To encourage and promote close relations between the Institution and its alumni and among the alumni themselves.
- To promote and encourage friendly relations between all members of the alumni body, an interest in the affairs and well-being of the Institution.
- To provide and disseminate information regarding their Alma Matter, its graduates, Faculties and students, to the alumni.
- To initiate and develop programs for the benefit of the alumni.
- To assist and supporting the efforts of the Institution in obtaining funds for development.
- To serve as a forum through which alumni may support and advance the pursuit of academic excellence at the Institution.
- To guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their courses to obtain employment and engage in productive pursuits useful to society.
- To organize and co-ordinate reunion activities of the Alumni and let the Alumni acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Matter.
- To collect, publish and distribute such information as may be useful to the alumni and their Alma Mater.
Activities and Contributions
Alumni are included as teacher in the College. They are invited for meetings at college and they interact with their other teachers and express their suggestions on curriculum revision.
